I’m going to talk about the expression, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
So, this phrase or this proverb, “where there’s a will, there’s a way,” what this means is that
if you are determined or motivated to do something then you will find a way to do it.
You will do the work necessary, you will talk to the people you need to talk to,
you will find a solution, you will make it work somehow.
So for example, let’s say that your car broke down,
it’s not working and you need a special part and you can’t find it in your area.
So, you make some phone calls, you do some research on the internet and you find a supplier.
That’s not so far away and you make the deal, and you get the part and you fix your car.
So, you look for the solutions, you do the work, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Or maybe, you are having trouble learning English.
Maybe you’re not seeing very much improvement, so you have a strong will, a strong desire, a lot of motivation.
So, you do some research, you dedicate more time to studying and practicing, you take notes,
you watch TV just in English, you try to think just in English,
you do many things with the goal in mind of improving your English.
And without motivation and that plan your English improves.
So, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
The people who are motivated and do the work, and look for a solution, will find a way to
achieve what they need to achieve.
