Watch this first introductory video to make sure you get start preparing for the TOEFL correctly

Hello, my name is Steve.

And I am your personal, and professional, American English consultant.

Today, I want to discuss with you the TOEFL English assessment exam.
The TOEFL exam was designed to gain an overall assessment of your grasp

of the English language at the university level.

It is primarily utilized by universities to grant non-native English speakers an opportunity

to study in the U.S., the U.K., and other English speaking countries.

As it has gained popularity it was used by various philanthropic programs

and societies such as The Hubert Humphrey Foundation,

to qualify applicants for grants, internships, and scholarships.

Some governments have even recently begun to accept TOEFL exam scores for skilled labor visas.

Whatever your reason, whatever your target score,

it is very important to understand what you are getting into

when you decide to take the TOEFL exam.

If you are truly serious about obtaining a target score on the TOEFL exam,

you need to be prepared to put forth an equivalent amount of effort.

Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail.

This statement has never been a more truthful than when applied to the TOEFL exam.

You should dedicate no less than two months study time leading up to the exam.

You should have a financial budget laid out for study materials, practice tests,

and even tutoring, to get you the best possible results from the experience.

You need to set aside time nearly every day to focus, study, and practice for the exam.

This included vocabulary memorization, grammar rule study,

and several assessment and practice tests.

There are many books and programs to help you prepare for the TOEFL exam.

Many of these methods are generalized and may cover material you may already know.

This is simply a waste of your time, effort, and energy that could better be utilized elsewhere.

One very good approach to this is to consult with a TOEFL tutor such as myself.

I am available for personalized, one-on- one training,

to prepare you for taking the TOEFL exam.

We will start with an assessment test that will give me a better understanding

of your grasp of the English language.

From there I will build a course of training based upon your areas of weakness

and help you pass that test!
