in some other countries such as Canada, I believe.
But what does the term “a pretty penny” mean? Well, it’s pretty easy;
it just means a lot of money, simple, or a large sum of money.
Okay, so let me give you some example sentences:

“My parents invested a pretty penny in my college education.”
“You’ll have to spend a pretty penny if you want to go on vacation in Dubai.”
“It took me a pretty penny to design this software.”
