Hi there, it’s Joel, back for another short lesson. Today, I’m going to teach you about the term “AC.”
AC is short or slang for air conditioner.
An air conditioner is the machine you use to make the air cold in your house, especially during summer time.
If you want to sound more natural and more like a native speaker,
try using this term AC next time you’re practicing your English.
I’m going to give some example sentences so you can hear it being used in context:
“It’s too cold in here. Can you turn off the AC?”
“We need to get a repairman. The AC is broken.”
“I saw an AC on sale for $100. Why don’t we buy it?”
“If you live in a warm climate, it’s really important to have a good AC unit.”
Okay, thanks for watching. I hope that you learned something new
that will help you sound more fluent when you’re speaking in English.
