A lot of students get the pronunciation mixed up on these words. So, let’s take a look.
First, let’s look at “sheet.”
Of course, a sheet is like a blanket, something that we use on our beds and we use to cover up when we’re laying down.
It has the eeee sound – sheet
“I need to buy a new sheet for my bed.”
Now, moving on to the other word: shit
This word is a little bit offensive. So be careful when you use it.
That’s another reason why this lesson is important, so that you don’t say “shit” when you’re trying to say “sheet,” the blanket.
So let’s take a look.
Now, “shit” has an iii sound, like the word “with” – with me. It’s the same for “shit.”
