What does ‘introvert’ and ‘extrovert’ mean? Learn the difference here!
In this lesson we’re going to talk about the terms “introvert” and “extrovert.”
So what do these mean? Well, most people are categorized as either an introvert or an extrovert.
Now there could be some people kind of in the middle or in between, and that’s fine.
So an introvert is somebody who is typically quiet and who does not talk a lot.
They tend to think more instead of speaking to people all the time, they’re thinking more.
Okay? So, an introvert is someone who thinks more and talks less.
And they are normally content to be alone, whether they stay at home on a Friday night instead of going out with their friends or something else.
And an extrovert is the opposite. An extrovert typically does not like to be alone.
They like being with other people and they like to talk a lot, and think a little bit less than introverts do.
So these are the people that always have to be around other people.
They love going out on the weekend and doing things, those are extroverts.
Alright, so what do you think you are? Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
We can also use these as adjectives. For example: I can say “He is extroverted.”
Or, “She is extroverted.” Or, “She is introverted.” And so on. However, it’s more common to use the noun form:
“She is an extrovert.”
“He is an extrovert.”
“Most celebrities are extroverts.”
“Most philosophers are introverts.”
